Henry Tyler
Henry Tyler has a mental health diagnosis and is living in recovery. He is a U.S. Army veteran, who served 14 years in the military, where one of his diagnoses occurred. Henry’s experiences in mental health consists of the following:
Working as a Peer Counselor for NAMI DuPage
Working as a WRAP teacher (Wellness Recovery Action Plan)
Facilitating support groups for people with mental illness
Training police officers in Crisis Interventions with people with mental illness
Board member for NAMI Will-Grundy
Henry has been in mental health recovery since 2012 and has reaped the benefits of that journey. As a result of that experience, Henry has committed himself to the work of helping others to develop a method of thinking and living that can enhance the possibilities of them experiencing more success in their efforts to take back their lives from the devastation of mental illness.
