Donation Acceptance Policy
NAMI Will-Grundy (NAMI) solicits and accepts donations and gifts for purposes that will help our organization further and fulfill our mission. NAMI urges all prospective donors to seek the assistance of personal legal and financial advisors in matters relating to their donations or gifts, including the resulting tax and estate planning consequences.
Certain forms of donations or gifts may be subject to review prior to acceptance, including seeking the advice of legal counsel, when appropriate.
NAMI Will-Grundy will not accept gifts that (a) would result in NAMI violating its corporate charter, (b) would result in losing its status as a not-for-profit organization, (c) are too difficult or too expensive to administer in relation to their value, (d) would result in any unacceptable consequences for NAMI, or (e) are for purposes outside NAMI’s mission. Decisions on the acceptance or refusal of a donation or gift shall be made by the Executive Board, in consultation with the Executive Director.
All Donors attest that their donation gift to NAMI Will-Grundy comes from a legal source, and is without any conditions, liens, or encumbrances.
