Peggy Robinson

Peggy was introduced to NAMI by her friend, Pam Babcock, who is also a NAMI Board Member. While walking early morning laps at Inwood Athletic Club, Peggy mentioned she was dealing with a loved one who was struggling with mental illness. Pam immediately responded, “You need NAMI! Let’s talk!!”

Peggy enrolled in a Family-to-Family Class with Pam’s encouragement. Peggy found the class helpful and wanted to find a way to help promote the programs and services. She mentioned to Pam that the website didn’t feature special offerings and there wasn’t very much social media presence. Pam responded by inviting Peggy to the board to serve as the webmaster and oversee the social media platforms. Peggy is passionate about ending the stigma of mental illness and promoting the resources that are available for people who have a mental health diagnosis and their families and caregivers. Peggy joined the board in March of 2020. (2020)
