Khadija Sufi

Khadija Sufi found herself embattled in mental health struggles with her family during the pandemic. They were giving up hope, and as a parent, she felt terrified, helpless, and a failure. Yet, she knew she had to be resilient and resourceful to help her family members regain their status as positive, ambitious, and outgoing people.

“Part of the mental health struggle was that I had to salvage myself while supporting my children from his despair that had cast a shadow over millions of households and, unfortunately, taken the lives of others. As someone of South Asian heritage, I advocate for mental health in the minority and all communities. We are on this journey together, and I invite everyone to join me in having a holistic approach with NAMI to mental health."
